British Airways, BBC and Boots staff have data stolen in breach

The BBC, British Airways, and Boots have warned staff that personal data has been stolen in a cyber attack on payroll provider Zellis. The company confirmed that staff from eight companies were affected. Hackers exploited a weakness in the third-party file transfer system MOVEit, which allowed them access to names, addresses, national insurance numbers, and banking details. The breach has been linked to a Russian ransomware group known for targeting this software.
