Broken ARM: Mali Malware Pwns Phones

Google has identified three critical bugs in ARM Mali’s GPU driver that potentially affect major mobile phones including Samsung Galaxy S20 and Google Pixel 6 & 7, and numerous ChromeBooks. The security issue is reported as an improper access to freed memory, allowing manipulation of sensitive data. A patch has been made available, though its effective distribution to all affected devices is challenging due to the complexities of the supply chain.
