BSCF to help clinics take ‘bold steps’
The Blue Shield of California Foundation has invested $7 million in community health clinics in California, while the government is considering a $1.3 million budget cut to these clinics. The funding will support initiatives such as assessing the use of electronic medical record scribes and providing core support to clinics serving uninsured patients. The grants aim to strengthen the network of clinics and help them navigate the evolving healthcare environment. Since 2003, the foundation has invested over $47 million in clinics statewide.
