In February, Facebook compensated a researcher $27,200 for bypassing its SMS-based two-factor authentication (2FA). A duo of hackers earned over $22,000 for spotting six vulnerabilities in Google’s cloud platform. Another group earned several thousand dollars for discovering misconfigurations in Tesla’s security system. Furthermore, the US Department of Defense and the Zero Day Initiative will organize bug bounty programs in near future.
