Caithness councillor Matthew Reiss is concerned about ‘bizarre circumstances’ which led to Thurso man’s claims on data breaches
A Caithness councilor, Matthew Reiss, is investigating three alleged data breaches by NHS Highland. Peter Todd, a man from Thurso, claims to have received personal details about North patients and staff members. However, the health authority’s Chief Executive, Pam Dudek, confirmed that only one data breach occurred. Todd has referred the case to the Information Commissioner’s Office, while Reiss has expressed concern over the situation and asked questions particularly about the independence and preparedness of the data protection team.
