Calls for NHS Wales funding after major incident declared at Withybush

Withybush Hospital declared a “major incident” due to the discovery of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC), a potentially dangerous building material used from the 1960s to 1990s. Three wards have closed so far and investigations into the scale and impact of the problem are expected to continue over the next seven months.
