Cannabidiol shown to extend lifespan and improve symptoms in Leigh syndrome models
A study from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona indicates that daily administration of cannabidiol (CBD) may extend lifespan and improve symptoms in Leigh syndrome, a rare mitochondrial disease affecting children. The research utilized both mice models and fibroblast cells from affected children, demonstrating that CBD improved cellular function and antioxidant response.
