Cedars-Sinai CIO’s tips to ensure genAI is fair, appropriate, valid, effective and safe

Craig Kwiatkowski, senior vice president and CIO at Cedars-Sinai, has been working on integrating AI into the healthcare system, including an AI-powered virtual primary care app. It has already increased primary care capacity by 11%. However, integrating AI into existing systems presents challenges, including decision-making around whether to build or buy AI, variables around resource capabilities and availability, and integrating tools into existing workflows.
