The evolved Chameleon Android malware disables biometric authentication and enables PIN entry, potentially giving hackers easier access to a device’s data. This more sophisticated variant of the Trojan has spread to Europe, after originating in Australia and Poland. Cybersecurity experts recommend only downloading apps from trusted sources, such as the Google Play store, and avoiding clicking on suspicious email or chat links to avoid the threat.
