Change Healthcare Begins to Notify Millions Affected by Hack

Change Healthcare has begun the process of notifying victims of a cyberattack and data theft detected five months ago, in which millions of Americans’ data were compromised. The company, which has yet to confirm how many individuals were affected, has offered to handle victim notifications, despite no official reports on the hacking incident being posted on Health and Human Services’ HIPAA Breach Reporting Tool website.
