Change Healthcare Cyberattack Disrupts Services Nationwide—Here’s What To Know

A cybersecurity attack on Change Healthcare, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, has caused delays and disruptions at US pharmacies. It’s believed a “nation-state associated threat actor” gained access to some of Change’s IT systems. The company isolated the infected systems immediately. While most prescriptions remain unaffected, the American Hospital Association urged healthcare organizations potentially exposed, to cut links with United’s Optum network until it’s safe.
