Change Healthcare gives away APIs to help health plans comply with CMS rules

Change Healthcare will provide its application programming interfaces (APIs) for free to assist health plans in complying with the interoperability and patient access final rule from CMS. The APIs address interoperability challenges while also offering security, identity-management, and consent-management capabilities. Health plans must start planning now to meet the patient access requirements by January 1, 2021. Change Healthcare’s Connected Consumer Health technology can help organizations achieve compliance more easily and efficiently. These initiatives aim to accelerate digital health in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
