Changi General Hospital leverages AI to spot curable hypertension
Changi General Hospital (CGH) has started offering a quicker test for curable forms of hypertension, particularly primary aldosteronism and salt-sensitive hypertension, in Singapore. The tests are based on liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry and AI. They are performed at the Shimadzu-CGH Clinomics Centre, a partnership between CGH and Japanese medical equipment company Shimadzu, reducing wait times for results to three to five days from several weeks. Hypertension affects one in three adults in Singapore.
