Dr. Mona Siddiqui, the chief data officer at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has announced her departure from the agency. In a blog post, Siddiqui praised her team’s accomplishments over the past three years, including the development of technology for data sharing, improved data governance, and the launch of a data science and AI training program. Siddiqui’s work focused on population-focused data innovations and collaboration with stakeholders on various healthcare issues. HHS CTO Ed Simcox expressed gratitude for Siddiqui’s contributions and stated that she leaves the agency’s data portfolio in a good place.
