Chrome will now prompt some users to send passwords for suspicious files

Google is upgrading Chrome’s Enhanced Mode for safer browsing, allowing users to upload password-protected files for deeper malware scanning. Google will introduce a two-tiered notification system to differentiate between “suspicious files” with unknown risks, and “dangerous files” known to pose user harm. Under Enhanced Mode, Chrome will prompt users to upload passwords for encrypted files, allowing files to be opened and scanned.
