CIOs and IT leaders must be bold to gain advantage with genAI

A report by the IBM Institute for Business Value highlights that the role of chief information officers (CIOs) must evolve to cope with a significant shift in technology and the development of artificial intelligence (AI). The report underlines the need for agility, adaptability and strong communication skills and outlines potential barriers facing technology leaders such as CIOs and CTOs. Specifically, the lack of strategic tech decision-making is creating an “organizational blind spot” that is hindering progress.
