Clinical support workers in Wirral walk out over pay banding

Over 400 clinical support workers (CSWs) from NHS union Unison in North England are striking over pay banding at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The union wants many band 2 CSWs uprated to band 3 as they are undertaking tasks above their pay level. While some trusts have agreed, Wirral has not, causing a 48-hour strike.
