Cloud Leak: How A Verizon Partner Exposed Millions of Customer Accounts

A cyber security breach involving NICE Systems and Verizon has been shut down after the exposure of details of 14 million US customers was discovered on a cloud-based server, according to the UpGuard Cyber Risk Team. After being alerted of the breach, Verizon admitted the data exposure, but claimed only six million of its customers were affected. Details included names, addresses, account details and personal identification numbers (PINs).
