Cloud Leak: WSJ Parent Company Dow Jones Exposed Customer Data
Financial news publisher Dow Jones & Company inadvertently exposed sensitive data belonging to 2.2 million customers, according to cybersecurity firm UpGuard. It said the Amazon Web Service S3 cloud repository, dubbed “dj-skynet”, contained numerous directories revealing the names, addresses, email addresses, account information and the final four digits of credit card numbers belonging to millions of subscribers to Dow Jones publications such as the Wall Street Journal and Barron’s.
