Cloudflare once again comes under pressure for enabling abusive sites

Cloudflare, which handles 16% of global internet traffic and processes 57m web requests per second. is finding itself at the heart of another controversy over accusations it enables malicious activities such as spam, malware delivery and harassment. Critics – most recently non-profit Spamhaus – argue the content delivery network should take responsibility for managing the traffic flowing through its infrastructure. However, Cloudflare has insisted all its “pass-through” services, which use its network to streamline delivery and prevent outages from DDoS attacks, are content-neutral and unable to moderate content.
