CMS relaxes more rules around telehealth, allowing care across state lines

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has temporarily suspended regulations to allow hospitals and clinics to increase their medical staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. The changes include reducing certification requirements for clinicians, allowing doctors to care for patients remotely, and enabling nurse practitioners and occupational therapists to perform certain tasks. The aim is to expand the healthcare workforce and ensure there are no obstacles in place during the crisis.
