Co-op aware of claims IT data copied in ‘cyber security’ incident

Federated Co-op Limited (FCL) is investigating claims that hackers are threatening to release sensitive data stolen from the company. The issue could be related to a cybersecurity incident on June 27. FCL will take appropriate action if the investigations prove that data was indeed compromised. Western Canada co-op locations were affected system outages possibly related to the incident.
