Andrea Fox June 18, 2024

Genetic testing company Color Health intends to use OpenAI’s technology to expedite cancer screening diagnostics, to get patients into treatment more quickly. OpenAI’s language model assists physicians with pre-treatment analysis and cancer diagnostics. A partnership with the University of California, San Francisco will study the technology’s efficacy in identifying red flags and other pertinent details within electronic health records. Primary care physicians can determine the required tests without waiting for an oncologist’s review, accelerating the treatment process. The company aims to aid over 200,000 patient cases by year end.
