Colorado-based Longs Peak Family Practice experienced two cyberattacks, including a ransomware attack on November 5, and unauthorized access to its system on three separate occasions. The provider was able to rebuild and restore its system files, but it is unsure if patient health information was compromised. Longs Peak has since upgraded its firewall and is analyzing network monitoring tools to prevent future attacks. All affected patients will be offered a year of free credit monitoring.
