Commercial spyware vendor exploits used by Kremlin-backed hackers, Google says

Google analysts discovered that Russian spies used hacking tools strikingly similar to those sold by Intellexa and NSO Group, known commercial surveillance vendors. Analysts were uncertain of how the spies, believed to be working for Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, obtained these tools. The discovery reiterates concerns about the proliferation of such tools beyond their intended targets and into the hands of malicious parties.
