Concerning email sent to uni students

A data breach at Western Sydney University has impacted over 7,000 individuals, with accessed information including students’ full names, birth dates, student IDs, mobile numbers, and racial identification. As a response, the university obtained a court injunction to prevent use of the affected data and sought assistance from cyber security firms CrowdStrike and CyberCX. Current and past students were informed of the breach via email.
