The cyberattack on the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) highlights the urgent need for improved protection against digital threats to public services. With the general hacking community now considered the largest threat, surpassing careless insiders, there’s a greater requirement for the public and private sectors to combine efforts and share cybersecurity best practices. Improved threat detection and protection is also required to match the advancing capabilities of hackers, according to a recent SolarWinds Public Sector Cybersecurity Survey.
