Covid: London’s Metropolitan Line reopens after staff pinged by NHS app

A London Underground line was closed due to an overwhelming number of staff receiving isolation alerts via the NHS Covid-19 app. No services ran on the Metropolitan line. The Piccadilly and District lines were also impacted but have reopened. Transport unions warn of potential dire situations as more staff are contacted by NHS Test and Trace.
