Covid pass breaches ‘should not be police priority’

A police commissioner in Wales has said that cracking down on individuals with fake Covid passes should not be prioritised over more serious crimes. The passes may become compulsory from 11 October if proposals are approved on 5 October, with anyone over 18 needing to show the pass at nightclubs and large events as proof of vaccination or a negative lateral flow test result from the past 48 hours.
