Credit Crunch: Detailed Financial Histories Exposed for Thousands

Data of tens of thousands of customers from the National Credit Federation was discoverable on the internet via a publicly downloadable data repository. The breach exposed names, addresses and birth dates, as well as driver’s licence images and social security card images. Complete credit card and bank account numbers were also revealed. UpGuard Cyber Risk Team notified the Florida-based credit repair company, which took immediate action to secure the data.
