Credit Crunch: Detailed Financial Histories Exposed for Thousands

The personal and financial details of tens of thousands of customers of the National Credit Federation were exposed on an unsecured Amazon Web Services S3 cloud storage bucket, found by the UpGuard Cyber Risk Team. While there is presently no evidence to suggest a data leak occurred, the mere potentiality highlights the need for robust cyber security. There is much work to do before such vulnerability is mitigated; simply relying on security ratings is inadequate.
