Major NHS hospitals in London are dealing with serious disruption after the Synnovis pathology service was hit by a ransomware cyber attack, which has had a specially major impact on the blood transfusion service. Some operations and procedures have been cancelled or redirected. NHS officials are urgently working with the National Cyber Security Centre to manage the situation.
