CrowdStrike Admits it Doesn’t ‘Canary’ Test all Updates

Cybersecurity company CrowdStrike plans to implement a staggered deployment strategy for software updates after a faulty update last week caused millions of machines worldwide to crash. The issue came to light after a corrupt update was rolled out, causing machines to access illegal memory. As part of the new strategy, CrowdStrike will gradually deploy updates to larger portions of its users.
