Crypto Wallet Suffers $27 Million Loss in Single Cyberattack

A hacker stole $27 million from a cryptocurrency wallet, quickly converting Tether coins into Ethereum and then Bitcoin to hide the theft. The hacked wallet received deposits from Binance shortly before the theft. This came a week following a cyber attack on Poloniex that resulted in over $124 million in stolen assets, highlighting vulnerabilities in the crypto sector.
