Cyber attack affects two south England ambulance services

A cyber attack aimed at a third-party technology firm has left South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) and South Western Ambulance Service (SWASFT) without access to electronic patient records. Serving a population of 12 million people, the ambulance services are still operational, however, they don’t have access to typical medical history data from patients. NHS England has confirmed an ongoing investigation conducted with the police.
