Cyber attack affects two south England ambulance services

South Central Ambulance Service and South Western Ambulance Service are unable to access electronic patient records due to a cyber attack. NHS England is investigating the hack that targeted a Swedish technology firm used by the trusts, which serve 12 million people. While patients are not directly impacted, emergency teams might not have access to medical histories.
