Cyber attack forces hospitals to cancel surgeries in ‘major incident’

A large-scale cyberattack has disrupted services at several major London hospitals. The attack, thought to be ransomware, has had a severe impact on blood transfusion services in particular. It has led to some procedures being cancelled or disrupted. King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’, and other primary care providers confirmed they were impacted by the incident. The attack is believed to have happened on Monday, causing connection issues with a main server.
