Cyber attack on Advanced takes down software for NHS customers

UK software provider Advanced was hit by a cyberattack, disrupting services used by healthcare customers, including the NHS’s 111 emergency hotline. Advanced managed to contain the attack and asserted that most of its healthcare customers remained unaffected. However, some services, like Adastra and Carenotes, were impacted. The suspected ransomware attack comes amid increased targeting of managed services providers (MSPs), underlined by recent advisories from US and UK authorities.
