Cyberattack on Scottish health board ‘carried out by Russian gang’

A Russian group is believed to be behind a ransomware attack on NHS Dumfries and Galloway that caused the loss of three terabytes of data, including confidential patient medical records. The data was reportedly published on the internet, including children’s mental health data. A private security firm suggested the group behind the attack has the protection of the Russian regime.
