Cyberattack stops surgeries in London hospitals

London hospitals had to cancel some operations due to a cyber-attack on Synnovis, a lab service provider. The hack particularly affected blood transfusion services. According to the Health Service Journal, it could take weeks to restore access to pathology results. The attack impacted the services of Guy’s and St. Thomas’, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts, and primary care services.
