Moody’s Investor’s Service has warned healthcare institutions that the rise in cybercrime is increasing the risk of a drop in their credit ratings. The credit rating agency states that cyber risk is becoming a more important factor in credit analysis and that credit implications related to cyber security would be given a higher priority in credit assessments and analysis. The report also states that healthcare organisations are especially susceptible to cyber risks, as well as credit card companies, financial institutions, and other data carriers.
