A Kaspersky cybersecurity report highlights a 53% rise in daily cyber-threats targeting Microsoft Office in 2023, and an average detection of 411,000 malicious files daily, up nearly 3% from the previous year. Trojans remain the most common malware, but there’s a substantial increase in backdoor usage. Moreover, phishing attacks using deceptive PDFs are rising. Kaspersky recommends the continuous updating of security systems and vigilance against dubious links and untrusted app sources.
