Cybersecurity flaw fixed in Medtronic’s cardiac device data platform

Medtronic has identified a flaw in its cardiology data workflow system Paceart Optima that may expose patients’ data. The company has issued an update to the software to prevent any data leaks and has not reported any cyberattacks or data breaches related to the flaw to date. Cybersecurity in medical devices is set to grow from $869m in 2020 to $1.23bn in 2025, according to GlobalData.
