Cybersecurity: Last year was a record year for attacks, and Log4j made it worse

Cybersecurity firm Check Point Research reported a 50% increase in cyberattacks on corporate networks in 2021 compared to 2020. The firm attributed part of this rise to the Log4j vulnerability, discovered in December. The education, government, and healthcare sectors were among the top five most attacked. The company expects attacks to continue rising in 2022 due to continuous innovation by hackers.
