Cybersecurity special report: Ransomware will get worse, hackers targeting whales, medical devices and IoT trigger new vulnerabilities

Healthcare providers are becoming increasingly vulnerable to ransomware attacks and hackers. A report into the security measures implemented by provider organisations showed a particular need to recognise phishing techniques, including ‘whaling’, more effectively. Furthermore, minimal investment was being made into cyber security by such organisations, with a recent survey revealing that 80% spent less than 6% of their IT budget on security.
