DarkGate campaign abuses Skype and Teams

Researchers from Trend Micro have discovered an ongoing campaign that uses Skype and Teams platforms to spread DarkGate malware. The attackers used compromised accounts to send victims a VBA loader script, serving as a second-stage payload for an AutoIT script containing the malware. DarkGate is a versatile malware capable of several operations. The campaign mostly targets Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa regions.
