siteadmin June 21, 2024

Cybercriminal group Qilin is believed to have held Synnovis, a provider of pathology services on blood tests, to ransom in a cybersecurity attack. The company has seen hundreds of operations and appointments cancelled since. Qilin has since shared nearly 400GB of data, including patient names and descriptions of blood tests, on their darknet site and Telegram channel, as well as financial arrangements between Synnovis and hospitals. Nearly 1,134 planned operations and 2,194 outpatient appointments have been postponed so far.
