Data from NHS cyber attack ‘published online by cyber criminal group’

Patient names, birth dates, NHS numbers and descriptions of blood tests from NHS provider Synnovis have been published by a cybercriminal group following a ransomware attack in June. The attack led to the cancellation of hundreds of operations and appointments. The attackers, reportedly a Russian group called Qilin, also shared financial arrangements between hospitals, GP services and Synnovis. Emergency services remained unaffected.
