Data Leak Hits Thousands of NHS Workers

About 14,000 employees at Liverpool’s NHS hospital trust were informed that their payroll details were leaked through an erroneous email. The CEO of the trust, James Sumner, said that the leaked data, including addresses, names, national insurance numbers, and salaries, did not contain bank account details. The involved “human error” did not violate GDPR laws. The data had been deleted an hour after the mistake was identified.
