Data leaks, AI and ransomware topped the headlines in 2023 for SC Media

SC Media has listed their top 10 most-viewed cybersecurity stories of the year. These include the leakage of 260K dating profiles stored in an Amazon Web Service S3 storage bucket, the identification of a 0-click bug in Google Pixel 6, the deployment of 15K phishing packages on an NPM software repository, and CISO stress levels reaching critical highs. The FDA’s decision to refuse new medical devices without cyber security plans from October 1 and the cyberattacks on healthcare providers also made the list.
